Justin Bieber plays hype man during Chance The Rapper’s Coachella set

The pop superstar came on during the Chicago MC's Sunday afternoon set

Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance during Chance The Rapper‘s afternoon set at the Coachella Valley Festival of Music and Arts yesterday (April 13).

The pop idol came onstage to act as the up and coming hip-hop star’s hype man during Chance’s show on the main Coachella stage at the festival whilst Chance performed his part from James Blake’s ‘Life Round Here’. After the performance, Bieber tweeted: “That was fun” and posted a link to the below Instagram video:


This weekend’s festival in Indio, California, has seen a whole host of guest appearances, including from Beyonce, who came onstage on Saturday night during her sister Solange’s set, with the pair performing a dance routine to ‘Losing You’.

Pharrell Williams also played a star studded set, joined onstage by Snoop Dogg, Nelly, P Diddy, Gwen Stefani and Busta Rhymes during his show as well as by Tyler, The Creator and Diplo. The NERD man was joined by Nelly for ‘Hot In Herre’, Busta Rhymes and P Diddy for ‘Pass The Courvoisier Pt. II’, Snoop Dogg for ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and Gwen Stefani for ‘Hollaback Girl’. He also played his own guest spots on Daft Punk‘s ‘Get Lucky’ and Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’, as well as his Number One single ‘Happy’.

Later on Saturday night Jay Z and P Diddy made appearances during Nas’ set, which celebrated 20 years since the release of his ‘Illmatic’ album.
