Lawyer says Justin Bieber should return to Florida for more questioning over Selena Gomez

The pop star is being sued by a photographer

A lawyer has requested that Justin Bieber return to Florida to answer more questions about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, as part of a photographer’s lawsuit against the singer and his bodyguard.

Bieber appeared at a court in Miami, Florida last Thursday (March 6) to defend himself in a case brought by photographer Jeffrey Binion. The photographer claims that Bieber ordered four of his bodyguards to forcibly remove the memory card from Binion’s camera after he took photos of Bieber outside recording studio The Hit Factory in June 2013.

However, as Billboard reports, attorney Mark DiCowden has now said in a new motion filed that Bieber’s attorneys wrongly prevented him from asking about Gomez during his court appearance. DiCowden claims this is key to the case because the actress and singer was present during previous altercations between Bieber and photographers.

Bieber refused to answer questions about Gomez last week and his lawyers criticised the questioning as irrelevant. DiCowden wants a judge to order Bieber to return within 30 days.

Bieber is due to appear in court on May 5 in a separate case. He was arrested on January 23 and charged with DUI after allegedly taking part in an illegal car race.
