Judge Judy says Justin Bieber is ‘making a fool out of himself’

"Nobody's going to remember that he was a marginal singer," says TV judge

Judge Judy has criticised Justin Bieber for “making a fool out of himself”.

The TV judge, who fronts a reality court show in which she settles legal squabbles and disputes, had some harsh words for the pop singer in an interview with CBS Los Angeles.

“Being a celebrity is a gift,” she said. “You could either treat it reverently or you could make a fool out of yourself. And he’s doing a very good job of making a fool out of himself.”

She added: “I think it’s sad. And nobody’s going to remember that he was a marginal singer. But they’re going to remember a young kid who had a chance to have it all and who is blowing it by acting like a fool.”

Earlier this month Bieber was charged with assaulting a limo driver, while in January, police in California searched Bieber’s home after he allegedly threw eggs at his neighbour’s house.

Last month (January 31), the pop star’s private jet was also detained and searched under the suspicion of having marijuana on board. The plane, which Bieber had chartered to attend the Super Bowl (February 2), was held at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey as police reportedly smelled marijuana.

Meanwhile, the White House has said that it will respond to a petition demanding Justin Bieber’s deportation from the US.

The petition, which currently has over 200,000 signatures, calls on the White House to revoke the Canadian pop star’s green card and remove him from the US. According to US Government protocol, once a petition has over 100,000 signatures, it must be reviewed by White House staff.
