Defacing buildings in Brazil is punishable by up to one year in prison

Justin Bieber has reportedly been photographed spraying graffiti on a building in Brazil.

The country’s biggest news outlet O Globo published pictures purportedly showing the pop star spraying a wall on the former Hotel Nacional in Rio de Janeiro in the early hours of Tuesday morning (November 5).

As AP reports, defacing buildings is a Brazil is a crime punishable by up to one year in prison and a fine.

Reports claim police went to the mansion Bieber rented in the city to question him, but he was not there. He reportedly flew out of Brazil Wednesday on a private jet to go to Paraguay, where was due to perform.

Over the weekend, it was claimed that Bieber had been spotted by photographers leaving a Brazilian brothel with his head covered by a bed sheet to protect his modesty.

The singer had reportedly been in the brothel for over three hours, before he headed back to his hotel with two girls. He and his security team were later kicked out of their hotel for breaking rules, according to local sources.

Bieber also upset authorities in Bogota, Columbia last week when he graffitied a wall along one of the capital city’s main avenues while being escorted by officers in a police car.
