Gallagher was not impressed by Bieber's late arrival at recent London show
Bieber hit the headlines earlier this week after arriving on stage for a London concert two hours late. He then last night (March 7) collapsed during a further live date in the capital, citing breathing difficulties. However, Noel Gallagher has little sympathy for Bieber and said his actions are “not very rock ’n’ roll.”
“Is it rock ‘n’ roll to be two hours late? It depends on what he was doing in those two hours. Was he snorting coke off prostitutes? Or was he playing bridge? That’s not very rock’n’roll, is it? My cat sounds more rock ’n’ roll that that,” Gallagher said in an interview with The Sun. He adds: “I just know his name — Justin. Whatever. I don’t know anything about him. I know people really fucking hate him, don’t they.”
Earlier this week Noel Gallagher criticised Muse and this year’s Brit Awards, saying that music is full of careerists at the moment. He also told NME that David Bowie’s video for ‘Where Are We Now?’ “looks like his fucking cat’s directed it”, suggesting the High Flying Birds man is developing an obsession with all things feline. Could his next album be titled ‘Be Here Meow’?
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber hit out at the British media for the treatment he has received since arriving in the UK for his recent live dates. The singer is due to perform a final date at London’s O2 Arena tonight (Friday March 8) though it has not been confirmed whether this will go ahead or not following his collapse on Thursday night.
