The singer was involved in an altercation after game three of the NBA play-offs in Cleveland
Justin Bieber was involved in a fight after an NBA game last night (June 8) in Cleveland.
The singer had attended game three of the NBA play-offs between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors before travelling back to his hotel in downtown Cleveland, where, as video handed to TMZ alleges, the 22-year-old was involved in a brawl.
The footage appears to show Bieber push away a man before swinging for his face, after which the man retaliates by throwing a punch at the singer. A man, who appears to be Bieber’s bodyguard, then intervenes, dragging his assailant to the ground as Bieber continues to fight. Watch the phone-captured footage below.
Another video has emerged of the immediate aftermath of the fight, showing a clearly agitated Bieber being restrained by a passer-by. Watch below.
Fox 8 later reported that “police were not called, and the altercation lasted only a few minutes.” A spokesperson for Bieber could not be reached for comment at press time, Billboard have said.
Bieber took to Instagram after the incident to play down any harm that might have been caused to him, captioning a self-taken photo with the words “Not a scratch on this pretty face.” The post has since been deleted.
