Singer and dance duo Jack Ü releeased 'Where Are Ü Now' last year
It has been announced that Justin Bieber will perform live at this year’s Grammy Awards.
The 2016 Grammy Awards will take place later this month (February 15) from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Bieber will perform with Jack Ü (the dance duo consisting of Diplo and Skrillex). The singer collaborated with the pair for ‘Where Are Ü Now’ last year. That song is nominated for Best Dance Recording.
Adele, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar are also among the live performers at this year’s ceremony, along with a David Bowie tribute from Lady Gaga. Gaga’s performance will include “at least three or four” Bowie covers.
“This line-up of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music’s biggest night. We look forward to celebrating what’s been a wonderful year in music, honouring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances,” Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow has said.
Meanwhile, Courtney Barnett has said that she’s never heard of fellow Grammy nominees James Bay and Megan Trainor. All three acts are nominated for Best New Artist, alongside Sam Hunt and Tori Kelly.
“I don’t know who they are,” Barnett recently told Billboard. “I probably won’t [check them out]. I listen to music when my friends recommend it to me, I don’t often just go out and buy a record because it was in a magazine or it was on a list or something. So, yeah, I probably won’t. I feel like there’s so much music in the world that I haven’t listened to yet that I want to listen to.”
