Justin Timberlake to open environmentally friendly golf course

Mirimichi golf course will open on July 25

Justin Timberlake is set to open his ‘green’ golf course in Tennessee this month, having bought the property almost two years ago.

The Mirimichi golf course was made environmentally friendly by the singer, who bought the course to prevent the land being used for commercial development.

The eco-revamp cost $16 million, reports the Associated Press, and the singer has already played golf on the course. Mirimichi is the first eco-friendly course to be certified by the Audubon Classic Sanctuary Program.

As previously reported, Timberlake’s literary agent recently shopped a golf memoir book to publishers. The tome would feature anecdotes of rounds the singer has played since developing a passion for the sport as a teen.
