A new science fiction film starring Justin Timberlake has been given its first full-length trailer.
In Time is set in a ‘near future’ where nobody ages past 25, and time, rather than money, is the commodity of the day. In this future, the poor must work to gain hours to live, while the rich never die.
It’s a set-up that allows Tron star Olivia Wilde (aged 27) to play Justin Timberlake’s mother (he’s 30), while Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser (aged (32) is Amanda Seyfried‘s dad (she’s 25).
When Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) is given the ‘time’ of a wealthy 108-year-old ready for death, he must go on the run from the police who believe he killed the old man in order to steal his years.
The film will be directed by Andrew Niccol, writer of The Truman Show and director of the cult science fiction flick Gattaca.
In Time marks Timberlake’s fourth film to be released in 2011, after Yogi Bear, Bad Teacher and Friends With Benefits.
Last year, the singer received acclaim for his portrayal of Napster founder Sean Parker in the award-winning The Social Network.
In Time is due for release on November 1.
