What a bunch of troupers eh?...

Kaiser Chiefs rocked LA last night (March 21) – despite an injury to singer RICKY WILSON.

Following a heavily attended in store performance at Amoeba Records on Sunset Boulevard, the band travelled to The Troubadour for a sold out show.

The Kaiser Chiefs played an hour long set that included stateside radio hit ‘I Predict a Riot’, ‘Everyday I Love You Less and Less’, and ‘Modern Way’.

The show was also marked by an energetic performance from singer Ricky Wilson, who played despite wearing a brace and walking with a cane. At one pointed he scaled the venue’s scaffolding.

Following the gig, Wilson explained to NME.COM what the problem is.

“I haven’t broken my leg,” he said. “I have torn ligaments in my left ankle. It happened in Seattle on the first show of our American tour, during the first song.”

Wilson said he landed a stage jump improperly and following the gig, he visited a doctor.

“I’ve been ordered to keep off my feet for three weeks,” the singer said. “I think it might be a bit longer though because I keep jumping up and down.”

The band’s North American tour continues through to the end of the month. The band return to Britain in April for a headlining tour.
