Kanye West’s ‘I Love Kanye’ is now available on Apple Music and Spotify

Another track from ’The Life of Pablo’ is no longer Tidal exclusive

Kanye West has made another track from his latest album ‘The Life of Pablo’ available to stream outside of Tidal.

The rapper’s seventh album was originally released as a Tidal exclusive in February. This week, two tracks from the record –‘Famous’ and now also ‘I Love Kanye’ – have been available on rival streaming services, including Apple Music and Spotify.

In recently released statistics, Tidal claimed that ‘The Life Of Pablo’ was streamed 250 million times via its streaming service in just 10 days. However, it is not known whether this refers to the number of times the whole album has been played or whether the figure is simply the sum of all song plays. For point of comparison, The Weeknd’s ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ album attracted 60 million listeners on Spotify last year.

West responded to the news via Twitter, writing: “Pablo did 250 Million… This is not regular!”.

Streaming service Tidal, owned by Jay Z and various other artist-owners including West himself, launched exactly a year ago (March 30, 2015). To mark the anniversary, Tidal has released new subscription data and streaming figures. According to Billboard, Tidal has announced that it has three million subscribers, 45 per cent of which pay for its premium hi-definition lossless audio tier.

Meanwhile, Kanye West is reportedly working on his next studio album, currently titled ‘Turbo Grafx 16’. It could feature collaborations with Tyler, The Creator and Big Sean.
