Vic Mensa, Lil Yachty and hip-hop trio Migos could also be contributing to the album
Kanye West‘s next studio album, ‘Turbo Grafx 16’, could feature collaborations with Tyler, The Creator and Big Sean.
Quavo, one third of Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos, posted a photo on Instagram yesterday (March 28) captioned ‘Turbo’. It shows Quavo pictured with Yeezy, Big Sean, Vic Mensa, Lil Yachty and another member of Migos, Offset.
Though it is difficult to tell for certain, some fans are speculating that another man pictured in the photo, wearing a green cap, whose face is obscured, could be Tyler, The Creator. See below.
West revealed in February that work on ‘Turbo Grafx 16’, his follow-up to ‘The Life Of Pablo’, had officially begun. On Twitter, he explained that the “nerdy” album title is a homage to his favourite games console from when he was a kid, and said the record should drop this summer.
‘The Life Of Pablo’ has been streaming exclusively on Tidal since it dropped in February. However, over the weekend one track from the album, ‘Famous’, was added to other streaming services.
Yeezy marked Easter by sharing a new version of the ‘Pablo’ track ‘Ultralight Beam’ titled ‘Ultralight Prayer’.
Taking advantage of the original’s gospel elements, West has tweaked the track’s lyrics to include the lines “Let them know that’s why you took the nail; so we could have eternal life,” and “you will forgive all of our wrongs and make us new again”.
