The pop-up shop sold merchandise over the weekend in New York
Kanye West has claimed that he made $1 million (£700,000) from sales at his recent ‘The Life Of Pablo’ pop-up shop.
The pop-up ran for three days last weekend (March 19-20) in Soho, New York, selling merchandise in support of his latest album ‘The Life Of Pablo’. The success of the store forced police to shut down a street.
The rapper has now taken to Twitter to write: “They called me crazy and pointed fingers… but there is no other brand that could sell one million dollars of clothing in two days from one location”. West later described the shop as a “pop up of influence”. See his tweets below.
Earlier this year, West claimed that he has personal debts of $53 million (£37m). He also asked Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion in his ideas.
West, meanwhile, has started work on the follow-up to recent album ‘The Life Of Pablo’, currently titled ‘Turbo Grafx 16’.
Wiz Khalifa has also opened up about his recent beef with West and their eventual reconciliation.
