Pablo Picasso’s family give Kanye West their ‘blessing’ after he names new album ‘The Life Of Pablo’

Some think that the album's title refers to the late Cubist painter

The great-grandson of late Cubist painter Pablo Picasso has paid tribute to Kanye West after the rapper named his new album ‘The Life Of Pablo’.

The title of the rapper’s upcoming seventh record is thought to be named after either Picasso, drug lord Pablo Escobar, author Pablo Neruda, or possibly all three.

TMZ recently spoke to Florian Picasso, the adopted great-grandchild of Picasso, who said that the “entire Picasso family gives their blessing”. He went on to compare the two artists’ work.

“I think it’s amazing that he’s paying tribute to [Pablo Picasso’s] work,” Florian said. “They both have vision. They both want to revolutionise the game. Pablo Picasso was into art and Kanye is into music. The way they think outside of the box is very similar.” Watch in the video below.
