Album currently known as 'Waves' will be released on February 11
Kanye West should change the title of his upcoming new album, according to the Twitter followers of his wife Kim Kardashian.
The rapper’s seventh studio LP, currently known as ‘Waves’, is scheduled to be released on February 11.
Just a couple of weeks prior to the album’s official release though, West changed the name again, this time to ‘Waves’.
Kim Kardashian subsequently took to Twitter to ask fans which name they prefer: ‘Waves’, ‘Swish’ or ‘So Help Me God’.
The results are now in after the poll closed, with over 600,000 people voting in total. See the results in full below.
There were two different polls, one pitting ‘Waves’ against ‘Swish’ and another also including all three titles. 46 per cent of people voted for ‘So Help Me God’ in the three title poll, while 55 per cent preferred ‘Swish’ to ‘Waves’ in the other.
West will release the album currently known as ‘Waves’ on February 11 and will perform the album in full at New York’s Madison Square Gardens that same night. The show will be live-streamed at cinemas around the world, with UK cinema chain Vue amongst those signed up to show the gig live.
The rapper has also elaborated on comments he previously made about his upcoming new album, having suggested that the record was the greatest ever made.
Last month, the rapper tweeted of ‘Waves’: “This is not album of the year. This is album of the life.” However, West has now backtracked on his remarks, stating that the album is not the greatest of all-time, but just one of them.
