The two rappers appear to have reconciled following Twitter spat
Kanye West appears to have ended the recent beef between himself and Wiz Khalifa.
Last week, West hit out at the Pittsburgh rapper in a string of tweets after he criticised his forthcoming album, ‘Waves’.
Khalifa had taken issue with West’s decision to the change the title of his seventh album, formerly known as ‘SWISH’, to ‘Waves’ claiming that he was stealing a term that New York rapper Max B popularised.
West’s initial response was conciliatory, but launched into a tirade after he thought one of Khalifa’s subsequent tweets made reference to his wife Kim Kardashian. “Hit this kk and become yourself,” Khalifa wrote, later denying that he was referring to Kardashian by alleging that he was talking about a strain of weed.
The tweets were deleted later that night, with West admitted he’d been “confused”. “Ima take these down cause it’s all about positive energy blessings blessings positive energy blessings,” he tweeted.
Yesterday (February 1), Kardashian and West’s ex (and Khalifa’s fiancée) Amber Rose posted a selfie on Instagram to signal a truce had been made. Today, The Fader reports, West tweeted: “Me and Wiz spoke yesterday. Great convo. All positive.”
West is due to release his new album ‘Waves’ on February 11.
