Kanye West has hit out at Wiz Khalifa in a string of tweets after the Pittsburgh rapper criticised his forthcoming album.
Khalifa had taken issue with West’s decision to the change the title of his seventh album, formerly known as ‘SWISH’, to ‘Waves’ claiming that he was stealing a term that New York rapper Max B popularised.
Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.

He's the reason I sing on all my songs. That's the wave. If theres nothing wit that sound ITS NOT WAVY.

West initially responded with a conciliatory tweet, acknowledging the similarities.

His outburst was prompted by one of Khalifa’s subsequent tweets which he claims makes reference to his wife Kim Kardashian. “Hit this kk and become yourself,” Khalifa wrote, later denying that he was referring to Kardashian by alleging that he was talking about a strain of weed.
Hit this kk and become yourself.

West responded with a tirade of tweets against Khalifa.

West closed off by revealing that ‘Waves’ is “actually a Gospel album” and that “all I want is peace and positive energy”.
Update: 27.01.16: West has now removed the tweets, claiming that he was ‘confused’ by Khalifa’s apparent reference to a strain of weed.
