'Swish' is due out on February 11
Kanye West has claimed that he will release his new album ‘Swish’ next month.
The rapper, who last night revealed new song ‘Real Friends’ and teased a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, has claimed that his next record will be released on February 11.
‘Swish’ was due for release in 2015 but has been delayed repeatedly while West finishes work on it. Last week saw West releasing a New Year track for the second year in a row, dropping the Drake and Future-sampling ‘FACTS’.
The record was first announced back in March 2015, but there has not been an official release date until now. If it arrives on the date West mentioned on Twitter, it will be three full years since last album ‘Yeezus’ was first made available.
West has asked that he be left alone until the record is released, posting on Twitter: “No offense to anyone… I’m asking everyone DON’T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I’M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM”.
‘Real Friends’ marks West’s fourth release of the last 12 months, following ‘Facts’, ‘All Day’ and ‘FourFiveSeconds’. A Sia collaboration titled ‘Wolves’ was also unofficially debuted at New York Fashion Week.
