The release of weekly tracks was previously cancelled in 2010
Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Fridays music giveaways look set to return.
The rapper’s wife Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to announce the comeback. She wrote, “Friiiiiiday!!!! New music!!!! #EveryFriday #Swish #RealFriends”.
The rapper is still to confirm the return of G.O.O.D. Fridays music on his own account.
The rapper previously gave away songs under the banner each week until he cancelled it in 2010 after tracks from his ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ album leaked online.
West recently released a New Year track for the second year in a row, dropping ‘FACTS’ via SoundCloud in the early hours of the morning.
Last year, West launched ‘Only One’ to round out the year, and he continued the newfound tradition at the close of 2015.
It was West’s third totally new release of the year, and follows ‘All Day’ and ‘FourFiveSeconds’, while new track ‘Wolves’ was also debuted earlier last year at a fashion show. A new album entitled ‘SWISH’ was announced back in March 2015, but so far there’s no word on a release date for the latest (seventh) record, which is expected sometime in 2016.
West has asked that he be left alone until the record is released, posting on Twitter:
“no offense to anyone… I’m asking everyone DON’T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I’M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM”.
West also said he’s finishing the album (as well as his next clothing collection) back in mid- December, suggesting that a release might not be too far off. Travis Scott recently added that the album is “coming very soon”, saying that he thinks the album is “Amazing, God-level rapping shit.”
