The rapper picked up the award for his Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers
Kanye West picked up the Shoe Of The Year award at the 2015 Footwear News Annual Achievement Awards on Thursday (December 3), delivering a 20-minute long rambling acceptance speech.
West launched a clothing line with Adidas earlier this year, taking home the Shoe Of The Year award for his Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers.
Appearing at the ceremony in New York, the rapper told the audience: “I have absolutely no plans for what I’m going to say so this could land completely wrong, but it really doesn’t fucking matter though, does it?
“If you don’t like 10-minute profanity-ridden speeches that end with a presidential bid, you can go to the bathroom,” he continued.
During the speech, West discussed how inspiration for his Yeezy shoes came from a visit to Japan after his “infamous Taylor Swift moment” at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
He also discussed his reputation in some parts of the media (“Most people are like, ‘I don’t want people to talk shit about me.’ I don’t give a fuck”) and his family life (“My daughter might not be making sentences but she’s bringing so much joy. I know she’s going to grow up to be amazing”).

Kanye West is currently thought to be working on his next album ‘SWISH’. Close collaborator Pusha T recently described the record as sounding “phenomenal”.
