Kanye West launches surprise tracks ‘Say You Will’ (feat Caroline Shaw) and ‘When I see It’

Kanye West has uploaded two new and unexpected tracks to his Soundcloud page, entitled ‘Say You Will’ and ‘When I See It’.

The new version of ‘Say You Will’ – the opening track on West’s album ‘808s and Heartbreak’ – features violinist Caroline Shaw, who The Atlantic report West saw perform in New York and later recruited to perform with him.

The second track ‘When I See It’ is a retitled version of The Weeknd‘s ‘Tell Your Friends’, which West helped to produce in its original incarnation.

It’s not clear at this stage whether the tracks will form part of ‘Yeezus’ follow-up ‘Swish’, though it seems unlikely. ‘Swish’ has yet to receive an official release date. These tracks came out of the blue and without fanfare, and are the first tracks to appear on a Soundcloud account that Kanye’s held for several years.

Earlier this week, West donated to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, after Clinton said she would not rule out appointing West as her vice president.

Clinton said: “I might want to give him some additional experience so he’s got, on all the other things he’s done on his resume, he’s got some kind of envoy role or something he could point to… I would not rule out anybody for Vice President”.
