School receives complaints after teacher decorates entire classroom as shrine to Kanye West

Teacher has been forced to remove all references to the rapper

A school teacher in the US has been forced to redecorate his classroom after receiving complaints about its Kanye West theme.

Adrian Perez of McCabe Elementary school in Mendoza, California recently made headlines after he decorated his classroom as a shrine to the Chicago rapper.

Perez used West lyrics and song titles to theme activity walls, such as the “What Did I Learn All Day, All Day?” wall making reference to the rapper’s recent single ‘All Day’ and “New Job Flow” referring to Kanye’s ‘New God Flow’ track.

“I never want my students to be discouraged and push them to approach learning with confidence,” Perez previously told Good Morning America.

“I was innovative while designing this classroom. I aspire to be the Kanye West of teaching: Kanye West is one of the most influential people in the world and is the best at what he does,” Perez added.

“To elaborate, I want to be a positive influence to my students and be the best teacher I can be for them.”

The Team Kanye Daily Twitter account recently confirmed that the “administration at the school has stripped all the Kanye related items in Mr. Perez’s classroom,” and that the school had “received bad emails and phone calls regarding the classroom”.

Perez himself later tweeted that the news was “sad” and that he “appreciate[s] the support”.
