Rapper to play 2008 album in full this October
Kanye West has announced details of another show in which he will play his 2008 album ‘808s & Heartbreak’ in full.
Last week (August 30), the rapper revealed that he will revisit the LP for a one-off gig at Hollywood Bowl in LA on September 25. Now, as DIY Mag confirms, West has announced that he will play another date at the same venue the following evening (September 26).
‘808s & Heartbreak’ spawned the hits ‘Love Lockdown’ and ‘Heartless’. Listen to the former beneath.
Kanye West made the headlines following last month’s MTV VMAs when the rapper used a 13-minute acceptance speech to claim that he intends to run for President. The rapper was presented with the Video Vanguard in recognition of his career and told the crowd: “I still don’t understand award shows. I don’t understand how they get five people who work their entire life, won, sell records, sell concert tickets, to come, stand on a carpet and for the first time in their life, be judged on the chopping block and have the opportunity to be considered a loser.”
He continued: “I don’t know what I finna lose after this. It don’t matter, though; It’s not about me. It’s about ideas. New ideas. People with ideas. People who believe in truth. And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
