West originally featured on a remix of the Belgian musician's 2010 single
Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Coachella festival last night (April 19), appearing onstage with Belgian musician Stromae.
It was the rapper’s second cameo of the weekend, also performing with The Weeknd during the Saturday leg of the Californian event.
West came onstage to help perform Stromae’s 2010 single ‘Alors On Danse’. The hip-hop star originally appeared on a remix of the track. Watch footage of this performance below.
Meanwhile, West had his own gig halted last week in Armenia after the rapper jumped into a lake.
The show, which was being livestreamed on YouTube, took place at Swan Lake in Yerevan and saw the rapper jumping off the stage and into a shallow part of the lake while performing ‘Good Life’. Before taking to the water, West shouted: “Over there, can y’all see me over there? We’re going to do something different right now, like, like, like we always do it this time!”
Fans swarmed over West in the shallow water and police moved in to stop the show. After 15 minutes without any action, the crowd – who had been chanting for West’s name in a bid for him to return to the stage – began to disperse. The rapper made it through six songs, including ‘Stronger’ and ‘All Of The Lights’, before the gig was cut short.
