"I'm definitely producing on his album, but I don't know how it's going to end up," says hip-hop mogul
Diddy has confirmed that he is working with Kanye West on his new album ‘Swish’ but said his final involvement is up to the rapper himself.
Earlier this year it was reported that Diddy would act as executive producer on West’s new album, which recently had its name changed from ‘So Help Me God’. Around the same time, West became the latest recruit to Diddy’s producer supergroup, The Hitmen.
Despite these connections, Diddy appeared uncertain as to what his final role in the album will be. “I don’t know yet,” Diddy told Billboard in a new interview with headline the Saturday nightBillboard. “I’m definitely producing on his album, but I don’t know how it’s going to end up.”
He went on to say, “It’s up to Kanye and how he sees the album going. But we’re definitely working together, producing a lot of records together and having a lot of fun.”
As well as Diddy, West has extensively worked with Paul McCartney on ‘Swish’ with the collaborative sessions creating the singles ‘Only One’ and FourFiveSeconds’, the latter featuring Rihanna. ‘Wolves’, a song featuring Sia and Vic Mensa, has also been played live while latest song ‘All Day’ was performed live at the Brit Awards in February.
West will also headline the Saturday night of this year’s Glastonbury festival.
