Video will appear on US TV show 'Ellen' later today (January 29)
Kanye West has premiered the video for his new single ‘Only One’, featuring daughter North West.
The video was directed by Spike Jonze and West will appear on Ellen today (January 29). In the video, which can be seen as part of a clip from the show below, the father and daughter are filmed in a field together while the song plays in the background.
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, West explained how having a family has changed him as a person. “I’ve learned how to shut up more. I think I’m a better human being because of [Kardashian] and because of my daughter. And I have always someone to think about going home to and you know something for me to be brave for what I want to do for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family too.”
He continued: “Cause there are things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people or for culture in a way so now I always have to have that in my mind that I have a family that I have to protect too.”
‘Only One’ is the first of West’s collaborations with Paul McCartney. Their ‘FourFiveSeconds’ collaboration with Rihanna was unveiled this weekend. However, a source close to McCartney has told NME that reports the pair have worked on a full album together are “not true”.
