Very extended remix was for his fashion designer friend Virgil Abloh
Kanye West has created an hour-long remix of ‘Father Stretch My Hands’ for a fashion designer.
The remix was used by Virgil Abloh at the Paris fashion show to launch the latest range of Abloh’s label Off-White. A 40-minute edit has since been uploaded to Soundcloud.
Abloh has helped West create many designs for his Yeezy fashion range.
The mix followed a similar sounding shorter remix used by West at the video premiere events marking the launch of ‘Famous’. Made by electronica duo DJ Dodger Stadium, the mix was played at the £18-a-head video playback events for ‘Famous’ in Los Angeles.
Premiered at two screenings on Friday (June 25) at Los Angeles club The Forum, the ‘Famous’ video stars West and his wife Kim Kardashian-West apparently recovering from an orgy as they lie next to lookalikes of Rihanna, Donald Trump, Bill Cosby, George W Bush and Caitlyn Jenner, before it ends on a shot of a naked Taylor Swift lookalike.
West spoke briefly to the crowd at both screenings to thank them for coming, before playing DJ Dodger Stadium’s ‘Father Stretch My Hands’ remix.
Both ‘Famous’ and ‘Father Stretch My Hands’ are from West’s recent album ‘The Life Of Pablo’. West has yet to play any UK shows for the album
