Kanye West, Amy Winehouse lead Grammy nominations

Foo Fighters, Jay-Z also receive several nods

Kanye West led the pack today (December 6) with eight Grammy Award nominations, while Amy Winehouse came in a close second with six.

Both singers received nods for Album of the YearWest for ‘Graduation’ and Winehouse for ‘Back To Black’. Winehouse also earned nominations for Best New Artist of the Year along with Feist and Paramore.

Other top nominees included the Foo Fighters who received nods for Record of the Year and Best Rock Album, as well as Jay-Z, Paul McCartney and Timbaland.

The White Stripes earned four nominations including Best Alternative Album and Best Rock Song.

Bruce Springsteen‘s ‘Magic’ and Wilco‘s ‘Blue Sky Blue’ were also nominated for Best Rock Album.

Feist, McCartney, Winehouse, Bon Jovi and Maroon 5 are all competing in the Pop Vocal Album category.

Meanwhile, West, Jay-Z, Common, Nas and T.I. are all up for best Rap Album.

The 50th Annual Grammy Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles on February 10.
