Kanye West cancels the rest of his tour after epic rant

"Tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase," a representative for the rapper confirms.

Kanye West has cancelled the remainder of his US tour, following his latest onstage outburst and cutting a show short.

The ‘Yeezus’ and ‘Gold Digger’ rap veteran caused controversy when performing in Sacremento over the weekend – calling out Jay Z and Beyonce, accusing his former collaborator of having hitmen and the potential to kill him. Fellow hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg then slammed West as a ‘weird motherfucker’ and asked ‘what is he on?’

After he ended the show after just 30 minutes, he then cancelled another show and uploaded 99 photos of clothing to Instagram.

LA Times journalist Gerrick D Kennedy then reported that the rest of the shows on his US ‘Saint Pablo’ tour have been cancelled. A representative for West has since confirmed this is the case to Pitchfork.

“Tickets will be fully refunded at point of purchase,” the representative added.

It had also been hoped that West might announce details of UK, EU and further world tour dates in the weeks ahead. However, this now seems less likely.

In his original rant, Kanye told the crowd: “Beyoncé, I was hurt! ‘Cause I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me, and over ‘Hotline Bling.’”

“In my opinion — now, don’t go tryin’ to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great,” Kanye continued. “We are all great people, we are all equal. But sometimes, we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are — just to win. Fuck winning! Fuck looking cool! Fuck looking cool! Fuck being cool! Fuck all that!”

West’s rant came two days after he told the audience at a gig in San José that he would have voted for Donald Trump in the US election, if he had voted.
