Kanye West cancels show, posts 99 photos to Instagram instead

Rapper scraps make-up Los Angeles show just three hours before it was due to start

Kanye West cancelled a concert in Los Angeles just hours before it was due to begin, then proceeding to post almost a hundred fashion photos to Instagram.

The show at Los Angeles’ Forum was a make-up date for a previous gig cut short earlier in the month when the rapper lost his voice.

Reports state that this new show was cancelled three hours before its scheduled starting time. Fans are entitled to refunds.

Following the announcement, West took to his newly-launched Instagram account to post 99 photos from past and present Maison Margiela lookbooks. See examples of those below.

The gig cancellation came just a day after the rapper’s gig in Sacramento where he cancelled the show early after going on a rant about Jay Z, Beyonce and Hillary Clinton. Watch footage from that gig beneath.

West finished that show after just three songs following a lengthly speech in which he appeared to suggest that Beyoncé had refused to perform at the MTV VMAs earlier this year unless she won the Video of the Year prize ahead of him and Drake.

Kanye told the crowd: “Beyoncé, I was hurt! ‘Cause I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me, and over ‘Hotline Bling.’”

“In my opinion — now, don’t go tryin’ to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great,” Kanye continued. “We are all great people, we are all equal. But sometimes, we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are — just to win. Fuck winning! Fuck looking cool! Fuck looking cool! Fuck being cool! Fuck all that!”
