Kanye West heads to Chicago to record new album with Chance The Rapper

“This month, we’re working in Chicago.”

Chance The Rapper has confirmed that Kanye West will head to Chicago, as the pair prepare to record their joint album together.

Speaking in a new interview, Chance revealed that Kanye will travel back to his native Windy City for the record – which he describes as “very personal”.

““Working under him, working with him on his albums is crazy, but having him tell me that he wants to produce my album and come to Chicago is like…,” Chance told local TV news show Windy City Live.

Although remaining teasingly vague, Chance also confirmed that the record is “30% complete” and will touch upon his recent engagement to girlfriend Kirsten Corley.

“You won’t get my angle of the story if you’re reading it from articles and stuff”, he admitted.

Chance popped the question to Corley on Independence Day, with social media footage showing him getting down on one knee while at a cookout to celebrate the occasion. Corley said yes and can be seen wearing a diamond engagement ring in other videos and photos.

Chance first revealed the project last month, while also revealing that he’s working on an album with Childish Gambino.

His collaboration with Kanye means that Ye remains as busy as ever – having released his own album and collaborations with Pusha T and Kid Cudi last month.
