The duo's new album 'Kids See Ghosts' premiered last night, with one track taking inspiration from the late Nirvana frontman
The duo’s new collaborative record is the latest to emerge from West’s recent studio sessions in Wyoming, which has already yielded Pusha-T’s ‘Daytona’ album and West’s latest effort ‘ye’ – the latter came out just last week (June 1).
‘Kids See Ghosts’ finally dropped on most major streaming platforms this evening (June 8), with last night’s listening premiere in LA having given many fans their first taste of the new album. For those not in attendance at the LA party yesterday, ‘Kids See Ghosts’ could be heard through an official broadcast on the WAV app.
As Pitchfork and The Fader report, the record’s closing song ‘Cudi Montage’ prominently samples Cobain’s track ‘Burn The Rain’. The track was produced by evan mast, Dot Da Genius, Plain Pat, and Cudi – listen to it below.

‘Burn The Rain’ was originally recorded as a solo acoustic demo by the late Nirvana frontman, and was only released posthumously in 2015 as part of the companion soundtrack to the Cobain film Montage of Heck. Listen to ‘Burn The Rain’ below.
West has supplemented the release of ‘ye’ this week with a string of ‘Project Wyoming’ listening parties – here’s what happened at the first two events, which were held concurrently in Chicago and Miami.
The third and final ‘Project Wyoming’ party was held in Brooklyn last night (June 7).
