Kanye West has made his first guest spot of the year on ‘Mixed Personalities’, a new track from US rapper YNW Melly.
The new track appears on the Florida rapper’s new album ‘We All Shine’ – and features a guest verse from Kanye.
“I think I got mixed personalities. This bitch switched up my whole mentality/ This girl, she got mixed personalities. One day she’s happy, then she mad at me“, Kanye raps on the new track.
The guest spot from Kanye comes ahead of his next album ‘Yandhi’, which is expected to drop at some point this year after facing a series of setbacks in 2018.
In 2018, he also dropped ‘Ye’ and collaborated with Kid Cudi on Kids See Ghosts.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Kanye West pulled out of a headline slot at this year’s Coachella after organisers refused to build a giant dome for his performance.
According to Billboard, promoter Paul Tollett was set to announce Kanye West as a headliner, but that changed only two days before when the rapperasked for a new stage in the shape of a giant dome to be built for him.
It’s claimed the dome would have been designed by John McGuire, one of West’s collaborators.
Coachella organisers Goldenvoice explained to the rapper that four months would not be enough time to construct the stage as it would require the promoter to rearrange the whole festival site and remove a large section of toilets.
It’s reported that West reacted by saying he is an artist with a creative vision and shouldn’t need to be discussing port-a-potties.
Kanye has also been leading his Sunday Sessions – which sees him delivering gospel versions of his songs.
