Tom Meighan promising new direction for album four
Kasabian‘s Tom Meighan has warned fans that the band’s next album will be “nothing like” their last effort ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’.
The Leicester five-piece, who have just been announced as headliners of next June’s Isle Of Wight Festival, are expected to release their fourth album some time next year.
“If people are expecting ‘West Ryder…’ or ‘Underdog’ they’ve got another thing coming because it’s nothing like the last record,” Meighan told Absolute Radio. “We’re not the same band anymore. We always keep changing.”
He added that the catalyst for the band’s new direction was guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno. “It all stems from Serge,” he said. “He plants the seeds and this sort of giant beanstalk starts forming then we take it in the studio.”
