The band were already due to play two shows at Leicester City FC's stadium
Kasabian have added two further UK dates to their schedule for May, following the announcement of their homecoming shows in Leicester.
The band had previously revealed they are to headline Leicester City FC’s King Power Stadium on May 28 and 29, following the team being crowned Premier League champions for the first time in their 100 year history.
Now, the group will also head to Bridlington and Swindon on May 24 and 26 respectively. As Gigwise reports, tickets for both shows go on sale at 9:30am on May 6.
Speaking previously to NME about the band’s upcoming hometown gig and Leceister City’s footballing success, Pizzorno said they had to “move Heaven and Earth” to make the show happen.
“We were all booked in, set to do it next year,” he said. “We’ve been buzzing off that plan, and after the gig we did in 2014 in Leicester’s Victoria Park, we were looking for the next step up. But as the season’s gone on, there’s a feeling around the city that’s really special and we thought we should move Heaven and Earth to move the gigs forward a year. It’s in the last two days that we’ve finally got the go ahead to do it. I think everyone in Leicester is in a great mood.”
Kasabian will play:
Bridlington Spa Centre (May 24)
Swindon Oasis Leisure Centre (26)
Leicester King Power Stadium (28, 29)
