Kate Bush gig delayed for over an hour due to power failure

The show went ahead with an apology from the singer

A power failure took place at Kate Bush‘s Before The Dawn show at London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo earlier this evening (September 26).

The power cut meant the start of the event was delayed by over an hour. After rowdy clapping from the crowd, at 9pm an announcement was made with a voice over the PA saying: “Ladies and gentlemen I have some good news. We have a new start time for the show of 9.05pm…. We want you to see the full performance but this means a finish time of 12 – 12.10am.”

They then told the audience that they would refund all tickets for people who couldn’t stay for the full performance, but they would have to leave by 9.45pm.

Kate Bush then arrived on stage and said “Thank you so much for being so patient. It was entirely beyond our control, but we hope that you enjoy the show”.
