Katy B covered Arctic Monkeys‘ ‘On For The Road’ live on Radio 1 yesterday.
The singer, who releases her second album ‘Little Red’ on February 10, performed the cover of the ‘AM’ track as part of an acoustic mash-up with Ben Pearce’s ‘What I Might Do’. Scroll up to watch the performance now.
‘Little Red’ follows Katy B’s 2011 debut ‘On A Mission’. In addition to the singles ‘Crying For No Reason’ and ‘5 AM’, Katy B’s collaboration with Jessie Ware, ‘Aaliyah’, which was first heard on 2012’s ‘Danger’ EP, features on the album. The London-based singer will embark on a short tour this March, including a homecoming show at KOKO in Camden on March 26.
Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys are currently in the States and will play New York’s Madison Square Garden on February 8 before returning to the UK to open the Brits on Wednesday, February 19.
Earlier this week it was confirmed Arctic Monkeys will play a huge outdoor show at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Saturday July 12.
Support on the day will come from Jake Bugg, Miles Kane and Royal Blood. Kane and Royal Blood are also supporting the band at their Finsbury Park gigs in London in May, and will be joined by Tame Impala.
