MORE BIG NAMES JOIN TSUNAMI BENEFIT BILL

The line-up for the Cardiff gig is taking shape...

Keane and CHARLOTTE CHURCH have been added to the bill for the sold-out MILLENNIUM STADIUM tsunami benefit gig in CARDIFF.

Craig David, former M People singer Heather Small and Liberty X have also agreed to perform at the January 22 gig.

They join other confirmed acts on the bill including Snow Patrol, Badly Drawn Boy, [/a], [a], Eric Clapton, Feeder and Lemar.

Stadium manager Paul Sergeant said: “So far we have 17 acts and it promises to be a fantastic seven hours of music.”

He added: “We have received thousands of e-mails and calls offering help. At the moment we can’t even respond to all those who have contacted us. We will get back to everyone but it will take a while.

“We have now reached saturation point and have satisfied the majority of our requirements. If we do find we need anything else we will make an appeal.”

Organisers hope to raise to raise £1 million for victims of the disaster, which hit on Boxing Day (December 26).

The stadium is expected to hold up to 65,000 on the day of the event, with proceedings kicking off at 2pm.
