Ke$ha: ‘I was born with a tail’

Singer says she's sad that doctors removed it

Pop provocateur Ke$ha claims she was one of a tiny minority of babies born with a ‘tail’.

Human embryos do have a tail that measures about a sixth of the size of the embryo itself, but it is absorbed as the foetus grows. In rare cases, a child is born with the remnants of the tail.

“I had a tail when I was born,” Ke$ha told Heat. “It was a tiny tail, about a quarter of an inch, then they chopped it off and stole my tail. That was when I was little. I’m really sad about that story.”

Ke$ha previously surprised fans with the revelation that she drinks her own urine, as seen in her reality TV show Ke$ha: My Crazy, Beautiful Life. The singer said: “Mine isn’t that bad, but I’m a very hydrated person. It tasted kind of like candy.”

Ke$ha’s second album ‘Warrior’ was released in 2012. A collaboration with The Flaming Lips, ‘Lip$ha’ is expected later this year. Speaking about the collaboration earlier this year, Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne said: “She is a blast on all levels. She’s funny, she’s humble. She’s badass. She’s everything. She’s awesome. We’re actually already working on an album with her. It’s called ‘Lip$ha’.”
