Ke$ha lawyer says Dr Luke ‘takes young impressionable artists and destroys them’

Singer is suing her producer and mentor for emotional abuse and sexual assault

A representative for Ke$ha has said that the producer she has taken legal action against has “defaulted to form as an abuser” by launching his own legal action.

As previously reported, Ke$ha is suing Dr Luke for emotional abuse and sexual assault. The pop singer filed the lawsuit on October 14 and is looking to be freed from her contract with the producer, who has also worked with Katy Perry and Jessie J.

Dr Luke subsequently responded by filing a lawsuit of his own, claiming that the singer has fabricated her claims.

Speaking after the decision by Dr Luke to counter-sue his client was revealed, Kesha’s lawyer Mark Geragos told Billboard that it has taken “extensive therapy and rehab” for the singer to be “strong enough” to end her working relationship with the producer and songwriter.

Attacking Dr Luke, Geragos then added: “What you have to understand about him is, he thinks that because he’s got more money than he knows what to do with, that he can take these young impressionable artists and destroy them.”

Dr Luke’s lawyer, Christine Lepera, adds that Ke$ha’s original lawsuit is “nothing more than a continuation of her bad and offensive acts.” To this, Geragos says: “He defaulted to form as an abuser; his immediate reaction is to not just to sue her but sue her mother and Jack Rovner, the only two people who protect her.”
