LMC VS U2 have knocked MICHELLE McMANUS from the number one position in this week’s UK singles chart (February 1).

’Take Me To The Clouds Above’ goes straight into the top spot , pushing the Pop Idol winner to number three, with Kelis’s ‘Milkshake’ holding firm at two.

Snow Patrol make an impressive debut into the Top Ten at number five, while other new entries include Emma Bunton at seven with ‘Be There’ and Lostprophets at eight with ‘Last Train Home’.

Elsewhere in the Top 40, new entries come from Pink at eleven with ‘God Is A DJ’, Jaimeson feat. Angle Blue and CK’s ‘Take Control’ in at 16 and Joss Stone’s cover of The White Stripes’ ‘Fell In Love With A Girl’ – ‘Fell Love With A Boy’ – charts at eighteen.

Incubus enter the rundown at 23 with ‘Megalomaniac’ and Razorlight fail to ‘Stumble and Fall’ at 27.

In the album chart, Katie Melua’s ‘Call Off The Search’ holds onto the number one position for a second week, Air’s ‘Talkie Walkie’ storms in at two and The Coral’s ‘Nightfreak And The Sons Of Becker’ debuts at five.
