MICHELLE MCMANUS has held onto the top spot in the UK singles chart.

The Pop Idol winner is number one for a third consecutive week, while Kelis continues her reign at the high end of the chart as ‘Milkshake’ holds onto the number two spot.

Elsewhere in the top ten, OutKast climb five places back up to four, while Scissor Sisters score a new entry at ten with their cover of ‘Comfortably Numb’.

Other new entries in the chart see The Offspring in at eleven with ‘Hit That’, The Delays in at 16 with ‘Long Time Coming’, The Zutons at 19 with ‘Pressure Point’ and Ryan Adams at 21 with ‘So Alive’.

On the album chart, Katie Melua climbs three places to number one with ‘Call Off The Search’.
