Due to vocal problems, Clarkson won't be taking 'Piece by Piece' to the UK or Canada
Kelly Clarkson has cancelled all the remaining dates of her ‘Piece by Piece’ tour this year after doctors orders.
A couple of weeks ago Clarkson cancelled six dates from her American tour, but was expected to play her Canada and UK dates.
The singer took to Twitter to say she was “so bummed” that she couldn’t play some of her gigs, also saying, “this kills me, but doctors are saying I need to rest my voice.”
Clarkson’s UK tour was set to start at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on November 12, before moving on to Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and finishing up in London.
Unfortunately for fans a statement has been posted on the singer’s Facebook page, announcing that “due to instruction of her doctor” Clarkson has to “remain on vocal rest for the remainder of the year”.
The post was accompanied by a picture of Clarkson performing live, with the following message overlaid:
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as soon as possible.”
The cancelled tour dates are as follows:
SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow (November 12)
Genting Arena, Birmingham (November 14)
First Direct Arena, Leeds (November 16)
Manchester Arena, Manchester (November 18)
Wembley Arena, London (November 20)
Refunds will be available at point of purchase.
