Kelly Rowland recreates Demi Lovato’s lion tattoo in her honour

The former Destiny's Child star said Lovato was "on her mind"

Kelly Rowland has recreated Demi Lovato’s tattoo in honour of the star who is currently in hospital following a suspected “overdose”.

Earlier this week (July 25), TMZ reported that Lovato had received emergency treatment following an alleged narcotics overdose at her home.

Lovato’s family have since issued a statement saying: “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.”

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy.”

Whilst Lovato’s friends and fans have been offering words of support all week, Kelly Rowland decided to honour the star further by recreating Lovato’s famous lion tattoo.

The Destiny’s Child star posted a drawing of a lion on Insta Stories, adding “@ddlovato I [love] you.”

A video appeared later with Rowland appearing to get a tattoo in the same place Lovato has hers with the caption: “got you on my mind.”

Justin Bieber also spoke about the news, saying he was “sending prayers” to the star.

Speaking to TMZ, the singer added: “It’s very sad. I haven’t talked to her, but my prayers go out to her and her family for sure. I thought she was sober. That’s terrible, right?”

Meanwhile, well wishes and support for the star have flooded in on social media.

Both Lovato and Rowland had appeared together previously in 2013 on The X-Factor where they were co-judges on the show. The two friends have said to have remained close over the years.
