The pair appear together in a new Lil Dicky video
Kendall Jenner has faced backlash for working alongside Chris Brown in a new Lil Dicky music video.
Fans have been left furious with the 22-year-old model, after she appeared alongside Brown in the clip. Brown was sentenced to community service after assaulting Rihanna – his then-girlfriend – in 2009.
The pair both star in rapper Lil Dicky’s new video for ‘Freaky Friday’. “Please tell me you’re not supporting Chris Brown,” wrote one fan on Twitter after Jenner shared the new video on her account. Another wrote: “Girl, please don’t support an abuser.”
Jenner also recently appeared in a poorly-judged Pepsi advert, which appeared to make light of the Black Lives Matter struggle. “Also Kendall Jenner was like oh no i never woulda done the pepsi ad had i known!!! and now she’s staring in a Chris Brown music video lmao,” wrote one Twitter user.
Rihanna recently hit out at a Snapchat advert that encouraged users to either ‘Slap Rihanna’ or ‘Punch Chris Brown‘.
The ad has attracted huge backlash, with Rihanna herself now responding to slam the app for “[spending] money to animate something that would intentionally bring shame to domestic violence victims.”
Snapchat apologised in a statement released to NME: “This advertisement is disgusting and never should have appeared on our service. We are so sorry we made the terrible mistake of allowing it through our review process. We are investigating how that happened so that we can make sure it never happens again.”
