Kendrick Lamar performs at NBA All-Star Weekend – watch

Vanilla Ice also made a surprise appearance at the event

Kendrick Lamar performed at the NBA All-Star weekend last night (February 15), reports Billboard.

The rapper appeared at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center stadium to play two tracks from his ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City’ album. Introduced as “the Grammy-nominated rapper”, Lamar performed on a makeshift stage in front of fans and celebrities like P Diddy, Drake, Nelly and Ludacris. Despite Lamar being the only announced performer for Saturday’s leg of the exhibition basketball event, another rapper also made an appearance. Vanilla Ice was revealed as a surprise guest later in the night, when he played ‘Ice Ice Baby’ for the crowd with a troupe of backing dancers.

Performers at the second day of the NBA All-Star weekend, which takes place today (February 16), include Pharrell Williams, Janelle Monae, Earth, Wind And Fire, and Jason Derulo.
