Kendrick Lamar to release new album in two weeks time

'Untitled' will arrive on March 23

Kendrick Lamar has confirmed that his new album ‘Untitled’ will be released on March 23.

The album, Lamar’s follow up to 2012’s ‘Good Kid, MAAD City’, was announced by the rapper on Twitter last night (March 6) and can be pre-ordered now.

So far two songs from the album have been revealed, including the most recent track; ‘The Blacker The Berry’.

The song was produced by Boi-1da, and references the 2012 killing of African American teenager Trayvon Martin. It follows his last single ‘i’, which won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance last month.

Lamar will also appear at Wireless Festival in July, as will Drake, Avicii, David Guetta and Nicki Minaj.

The event takes place between July 3-5 at Finsbury Park in London. Knife Party, Gorgon City and Childish Gambino join Kendrick Lamar and Avicii on July 4.
