Kings Of Leon will headline Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival in July.
It’s the Followill’s sixth appearance at the festival in eight years, after headling in both 2013 and 2011.
Kings Of Leon, who released their sixth album ‘Mechanical Bull’ in 2013, join previously announced headliners Arctic Monkeys and Metallica, and will close the Sunday night of the four-day event which takes place at Werchter in Leaven between July 4 and 7. After being such a frequent booking at the Belgian event, frontman Caleb Followill told the crowd last year: “There is no festival we’ve played more.”
Late last year Kings Of Leon announced a huge gig for the summer. They will play at St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United, on Saturday, May 31. The show is in addition to previously announced dates in Sheffield, Manchester and Milton Keynes Bowl.
Kings Of Leon will also play Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on June 17 and Manchester Phones 4U Arena on June 18 before the Milton Keynes Bowl show, which will see support from Haim, on June 22.
