Kings Of Leon invited a fan to share a beer with them after he stripped naked and crowdsurfed during a gig in Birmingham earlier this week.
The man became a viral sensation after taking off all of his clothes while the band played ‘Sex On Fire’ at the Birmingham’s LG Arena on Tuesday (July 9) night. Video footage of the moment can be seen above while pictures were circulated on Twitter and Facebook by the public and members of the band, including Nathan and Jared Followill. Tweeting about what he had seen from behind his drumkit, Nathan Followill wrote: “Thank you Birmingham. We saw a side of you that we’ve never seen before.”

Tweeting before the band’s second night at the arena on July 10, Followill invited the man, named by The Sun as Jimmy Dorris, to come have a drink with them before the show. “Hey Birmingham sausage man, if you’re on twitter, DM me. We owe you a beer tomorrow night.” Before adding: “Birmingham, lets do this. I get the feeling that this’s going 2 be nuts.”
Jimmy Dorris subsequently returned to the LG Arena last night and met up with the band, this time with all of his clothes on. Posting pictures of himself with the band, he tweeted: “Cannot believe taking my clothes off resulted in this!”
Kings of Leon’s UK tour ended with the second Birmingham date on July 10 but the band will return to the UK for V Festival 2013 in August. The band release their new album ‘Mechanical Bull’ in September.
