Kiss bassist Gene Simmons is to produce a sitcom for VH1 in the US.

The series, ‘Smash’, will be about a fallen rap star who is running a struggling record label. It is not yet known who will appear in the series.

Simmons, the executive producer, is not the only metal mutha to be making his presence felt on the screen.


Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson has written a script for a movie in collaboration with Monty Python‘s Terry Jones.
